Received 1 Vote on 1 Post. If it is cast iron covered with concrete, you should be able to bust it all up with a sledge hammer. If it is a steel tub sink with concrete, you'll have to cut it. I think that I would rent one of those concrete pavement cutting saws, whack it up with it, and go from there. Should do the trick.
Capernius on Jan 28, 2016. If you are trying to seal the joints where the plumbing meets the sink, plumber's putty is the thing to use. If it is Concrete, & it is the concrete you are trying to seal, then any concrete sealer should work. if it is not concrete, then the plumbing is the only thing you should have to worry about.
